They don’t really correspond with my usual taste in music, but my love for Rizzle Kicks has been steadily growing since I saw them at Leeds Festival last summer. It’s got to the point now that I don’t tend to go 24 hours without having listened to at least one of their songs. I might have a bit of an addiction.
There’s just something quite refreshing about their energy. They were arguably one of the “funnest” acts I had the chance to see at Leeds, in that their bubbly, excitable stage presence was so contagious that the crowd simply could not keep still! Another thing I particularly like about the Rizzle Kicks boys is that they don’t take themselves too seriously. They really are just two guys who are having fun with music, and have genuinely worked hard to get to where they are today. They are exactly what the hip hop genre – currently overflown with artists who have huge egos never fail to sound furious in their songs *cough* Eminem *cough* – needs. Hats (or baseball caps) off to the boys!
Below is the video for their current single, Mamma Do The Hump.
